Composition:
The components of electric vehicles include: electric drive and control systems, mechanical systems such as driving force transmission, and working devices to complete established tasks. Electric drive and control systems are the core of electric vehicles and the biggest difference from internal combustion engine vehicles. The electric drive and control system consists of a drive motor, a power supply, and a speed control device for the motor. Other components of electric vehicles are basically the same as internal combustion engine vehicles.
Power supply:
Provides electrical energy to the drive motor of an electric vehicle, which converts electrical energy from the power supply into mechanical energy. The most widely used power source is lead-acid batteries, but with the development of electric vehicle technology, lead-acid batteries are gradually being replaced by other batteries due to their low energy, slow charging speed, and short life. The main power sources under development include sodium-sulfur batteries, nickel-cadmium batteries, lithium batteries, fuel cells, etc. The application of these new power sources has opened up broad prospects for the development of electric vehicles.
